We developed a native and rich mobile experience on iOS and Android devices for an innovative investment trading platform that aims to improve the world of investing by making it easier to access and replicate the investment strategies of professional wealth managers.
Via the intuitive mobile application, investors can subscribe to an investment strategy and gain insight into the portfolio positions; when the portfolio manager trades, the investors are notified in real-time – and can then choose to reflect that same trade in their own personal portfolios.
Key features delivered through the application included:
- Browse Marketplace and filter strategies by risk, cost, trader type or investment amount.
- Review the firm and advisors managing the performance of each strategy.
- Subscribe to and make in-app payments for selected strategies via Apple / Google pay.
- Receive real-time email and push notifications on trades made by portfolio managers under the subscribed strategy.
- Replicate the trades made by portfolio managers within seconds into your own personal portfolio.
The application was developed using React Native to support both Apple iOS and Google Android platforms with a single code base, integrating Google Analytics and Bugsnag. In order to assure a seamless user experience across a myriad of mobile devices, QA test automation was implemented via Appium, with Browserstack App Automate supporting cross platform testing on multiple real mobile devices.
